This information is too important to keep all to yourself. Everyone deserves to know about the amazing benefits of coconut oil. This is my third no fourth blog entry on coconut oil, but this really is huge.

First off, my sister is diabetic so when I read about what coconut oil can do for diabetics I was jumping for joy!

Coconut oil is a great way for diabetics to ensure that their cells are getting nourished therefore improving circulation because coconut oil does not require insulin.



In both types of diabetes, the cells can easily be deprived of nourishment, which leads to circulation problems. This is a really scary thing for diabetics, because poor circulation can lead to all sorts of horrible side effects including gangrene in limbs, kidney disease, and blindness.

Coconut oil is a Medium Chain Triglyceride, MCT, and therefore does not require pancreatic digestive enzymes or insulin for digestion, utilization, or conversion into energy. What this means is that your cells are able to get nourishment quickly and efficiently even if you are diabetic or have a pancreatic insufficiency.

When your cells are nourished, they remain alive and active. The Medium Chain Fatty Acids, MCFA, in coconut oil give your cells a needed energy boost, increase metabolism to help them expel waste and toxins, utilize life-giving oxygen, and help them perform at top efficiency. This creates healthy cells.

If your cells are healthy, you are healthy.

Coconut oil is food for your skin. The cells on the outside of your body are able to absorb the MCFAs which stimulates healing and repair. Coconut oil can prevent liver spots, heal blemishes, acne, cuts, burns, eczema and other skin conditions. It can even reduce swelling, inflammation, and pains of all types including arthritis, back pain, and fibromyalgia. The reason is not fully understood, but may be due to the cells being fed which in turn increases circulation.

Consuming coconut oil is great health insurance. The MCTs in coconut oil have the ability to kill germs, bacteria, parasites, and viruses. Can you imagine the benefits of having that kind of protection on a daily basis? Research has shown that the presence of MCTs in mother’s breast milk is the primary ingredient that protects newborn infants from infections. Medical research over the last 40 years has shown that MCFAs from coconut oil kill bacteria and viruses that cause:

  • Stomach ulcers
  • Urinary tract infections
  • Pneumonia
  • Gonorrhea
  • Influenza
  • Herpes
  • Measles
  • Mononucleosis
  • Hepatitis C
  • HIV – the Aids virus

Coconut meat and oil can even kill or expel parasites such as tapeworms, lice and giardia.

If you are looking to lose some weight, try this trick, I can tell you it really works. Drink 1-2 tablespoons of coconut oil 5-10 minutes before lunch and then again before dinner. It will greatly reduce your appetite, all while nourishing your cells and even help to make you a little more regular if you know what I mean.

When it comes to Alzheimers or Autism everyone deserves to know about the incredible improvements that can possibly happen by consuming coconut oil. From what I understand the MCT’s are converted into ketones which can better nourish the brains of Alzheimers and Autism patients. The testamonies I am reading are amazing. I know the word is spreading fast, even the little old ladies at my Mom and Dad’s church in Pinehurst, NC are eating their coconut oil because they have seen results in others. You may be wondering if coconut oil is safe. The answer is absolutely YES, it is a food. If you are not allergic to coconut oil, you can have at it. Keep in mind though that coconut oil is a great detoxer, after all it is killing bacteria, viruses, fungi, parasites, and more. In the beginning you may experience nausea, excess mucous, sore throat or headaches. Just know that your body is getting rid of some pretty nasty stuff.

You want to start out gradually and work your way up to consuming 2 Tablespoons a day for general health or 4 Tablespoons per day if you have a serious health issue.

I personally take 1 tablespoon of coconut oil in the morning and 1 tablespoon in the afternoon. I am also Oil Pulling 2 – 3 times a day. (see blog entry “Do You know about this 5,000 year old Health and Beauty Treatment?) I also use coconut oil as a body lotion every day and I even make my own toothpaste out of it. (mix equal parts coconut oil and baking soda, add peppermint oil if you like) Now you know why I buy my coconut oil by the gallon. Be sure to use organic cold pressed coconut oil. You can get it at the health store or at Mountain Rose Herbs online.

My husband ask me the other day if I was bleeding coconut oil yet. Not yet, but I am certainly a coconut oil devotee. There is not a cheaper, more simple way to create beautiful skin, slow down the aging process and get rid of all the stuff that causes illness.

Keep in mind that your overall health, including the condition of your skin and hair are all a direct reflection of the health of your cells. A nourished cell is a healthy cell and one of the easiest and fastest ways to nourish your cells is with coconut oil.
