The Art of Self Care
Yes, I do call it an art because the care of you has to be created by you, for you. Your self care has to be something that inspires you, makes you happy, and produces results.
Most of all, no one can really take care of you but you.
No one can sleep for you. No one can eat healthy for you. No one can exercise for you. No one can mediate for you. No one can have fun for you. No one can make you happy.
These are all things that you must do for yourself.
Now that I am a little bit older and wiser, I realize that we all must be selfish enough to take the time to honor our God given life and bodies so that we can be, do, and have all that we were put on this earth to experience.
I believe in putting my health first, which is a key component to Ageless Beauty.
After all, if you don’t have your health, nothing else matters. Unfortunately this realization has hit too close to home too many times with family and friends who are experiencing very serious illnesses.
The best way to implement The Art of Self Care is to add one new self care regimen each month.
My personal Top 3 Self Care regimens include:
Sleep, 8 hours of sleep.
When we sleep our bodies regenerate, repair and rejuvenate. If you are not getting enough sleep, you are cheating yourself out of health and ageless beauty. Sleep deprivation can even cause you to gain weight.
Nutrition is crucial to Ageless Beauty and long term Health.
