Yes, this is the easy way, the lazy way, the painless way, the fastest way and my personal all time favorite way to detox.

You will be relieved to know it has nothing to do with dieting, fasting, juicing, or sitting in a sauna. These things are effective ways to detox but as you know, they can be overwhelming, uncomfortable and very time consuming.

You can use the most expensive skin products and live the most fabulous life, but if toxins are accumulating in your body, they can cause dull looking skin, an even duller mood, and very serious health issues.

Diane Sawyer did a report on the toxins in personal care products. The numbers are staggering.

The good news is you can easily detox your toxins away at the end of every day by treating yourself to a 20 minute soak in a warm and luxurious Epsom Salt bath. Just because this is easy does not mean it is not extremely effective. Keep in mind your skin is your largest organ. When you detox in a warm Epsom Salt bath, just about every square inch of your skin, is releasing toxins. That’s pretty impressive. A natureopath doctor told me an Epsom Salt bath can be a more effective detox than a coffee enema, not to mention much more enjoyable!

The use of Epsom salts goes way back. In 1618 a farmer at Epsom in Surrey, England found his cows were unhappy drinking the water due to its bitter taste. He noticed that the water healed scratches and rashes. It didn’t take long before local lore and word of mouth spread the word. It was originally prepared from mineral water in Epsom, England. Today it is obtained mostly from mining operations.

The Epsom Salt Detox Bath

Fill your tub to the top with the hottest water you can stand. (The hot water opens up your pores, allowing toxins to come out) Add 2 cups of Epsom Salt for a normal size tub or 4 cups for a deep tub. Right before you get in the tub, take a body brush and gently brush your entire body with motions towards the heart. This gets rid of dead skin cells so the pores are not clogged. Brushing will also help stimulate the lymphatic system to release toxins. The best areas to stimulate the lymphatic system are behind the knees, the groin area, the underarms and the neck.

Now you are ready to jump in, relax , detox and reap the benefits.
