I have always known that essential oils were pure, powerful and beneficial, but it wasn’t until I heard about an amazing testimony involving a life threatening disease (that the FDA does not want me to name) that I decided it was time that I jump in and really study the health and beauty benefits of essential oils.
Now that I am a Traditional Naturopath, I also want to make sure that I know as much as I can about essential oils because they are non invasive, toxic free, promote optimal health and most importantly are user friendly for the average person.
The field of Traditional Naturopathy believes in allowing the body to heal itself through non invasive modalities including, good nutrition, hydration, sleep, movement, emotional wellness and elimination. My job as a Naturopath’s is to educate the client on each of these.
What exactly are Essential Oils?
Essential oils are natural aromatic compounds found in the seeds, flowers, bark, rind and leaves of plants that have been extracted and distilled for health benefits. They contain hundreds of different compounds that provide complex and versatile abilities to combat threats without building up resistance. Essential oils support health at the cellular level, promote full body relaxation and can calm and stabilize emotions.
How do you use Essential Oils?
|1) Essential Oils can be used Aromatically in a diffuser.||2) Put a drop or two in the palm of your hands, rub together, and then cup your hands over your mouth and nose and breathe deeply to open airways and affect moods.|
|3) Essential Oils can be applied topically to the bottom of your feet or on affected areas to give direct relief or to support specific needs.||4) Essential oils can be taken internally by dropping in water, placing under the tongue or into a capsule. This can support overall health.|
Essential oils are safe, very beneficial and best of all they are extremely easy and simple to use.
Although essential oils have been around for thousands of years and are considered “nature’s medicine”, it wasn’t until recent years that science has been able to understand what makes them so special.
Scientist now know that essential oils are composed of tiny molecules, all less than 500 atomic mass units (amu) that can penetrate every cell. This enables the essential oils to bring nutrition into the cell and carry waste out. They even penetrate the blood brain barrier. Essential oils placed anywhere on the skin are transdermal and can reach every part of your body within minutes.
One drop of essential oil contains 40 Million Trillion molecules. This number is so big, that if you wrote it out you would write the number 4 with 19 zeros after it.
The human body contains 100 trillion cells. So one drop of essential oil contains enough molecules to cover every cell in the body with 400,000 molecules.
*The phenol molecules in essential oils create conditions where unfriendly viruses and bacteria cannot live.
These phenols clean the receptor sites on the cell. When the receptor sites on cells are not clean, the cells cannot communicate and sickness can set in.
*The monoterpenes found in most essential oils have been shown to reprogram miss written information in the cellular memory.
If cellular memory is miss written, cells malfunction and diseases, including life threatening diseases can set in.
*Sesquiterpene molecules found in essential oils deliver oxygen molecules to the cells.
Oxygenated cells are vital for beautiful skin, hair and nails. The most famous quote on oxygen in regards to health is attributed to Otto Warburg. In fact he won the nobel prize for discovering that low oxygen was a characteristic for today’s most dreaded disease.
As a Traditional Naturopath I always advise my clients to consume lots of herbs and sprouts because they have the highest frequency of any food. Keep in mind that the higher the frequency of a food, the more beneficial it is.
Bruce Tainio of Tainio Technology in Washington, invented new equipment to measure the frequency in food and people. Using a Mega Hertz (MHz) calculation he was able to determine the frequency of food, essential oils and even disease.

- Fresh herbs and sprouts have a frequency of 20-27 MHz
- Fruits and Vegetables 5-10 MHz
- Meat 2 MHz
- Processed Food 0 MHz

- Healthy Human Body 71-90 MHz

- Flu symptoms 57 MHz

In a series of experiments Tainio discovered that the frequencies of essential oils are between 52 – 320 MHz, the highest of all known substances.
He also discovered that the frequencies of essential oils are affected by our thoughts.
Negative thoughts can lower the frequency of an essential oil by 12 MHz, while positive thoughts raised them by 10 MHz.
This really proves that our thoughts are powerful. It also explains the ancient biblical religious tradition of receiving essential oils in an attitude of prayer.
When I use essential oils, which is every day, I say a silent prayer of thanks for the essential oil I am about to use.
Here are some of my favorite Health and Beauty Essential Oil Protocols
For Coffee Drinkers.
I love my one cup of coffee in the morning. Yes I use organic coffee, and I even use a splash or two of whole milk, but I make sure it is raw unpasteurized grass fed milk. Unfortunately coffee has been shown to lower your frequency. Just holding a cup of coffee can lower your frequency by 8 MHz. Taking a sip of coffee can lower your frequency even more, by 14 MHz.
There is good news. Once you finish your coffee, take your favorite essential oil and put a drop or two in your palms. Rub your palms together, cup your mouth and nose and take 10 deep breaths. Tanio’s frequency technology shows that this instantly brings your frequency back up.
Simple Daily Detox
The moment I wake up, I put a drop or two of lemon essential oil in 8oz of room temperature water and drink. This is a convenient and much safer way to detox than using fresh lemon juice.
Lemon essential oil comes from the rind of the lemon, so it is not acidic and will not damage the enamel of the teeth like lemon juice can. Lemon essential oil is absorbed easier than lemon juice and can increase energy levels and aid in mental clarity.
Lemon essential oil contains 68% d-limonene, (lemon juice does not) a super antioxidant that has been shown to cleanse harmful chemicals from the liver.
- Even in high doses there is no known toxicity of d-Limonene in humans.
- I even use my Lemon essential oil to flavor sauces and salad dressings.
- It takes 3,000 pounds of lemons to make 1 Kg of lemon essential oil.
Super Charge Your Skin Care
I keep several kinds of essential oils in my bathroom and each night I will add a drop or two to my moisturizer to super charge my skin care. Just make sure you are using a pure skin care. You wouldn’t want to super charge toxic skin care into your cells.
My favorite essential oils for supercharging my skin care include:
- Frankincense essential oil is known to help reduce acne, appearance of pores, prevent wrinkles and tighten skin.
- Lavender essential oil can help prevent oxidative stress which leads to aging.
- Sandalwood helps soothe, tighten and cleanse the skin.
- Ylang Ylang is effective at fighting the development of skin cancer cells, including melanoma.
DNA Repair Protocol
Normally, when the DNA of a cell becomes damaged, (which can be caused by toxins, stress, poor diet, etc.) the cell commits apoptosis, also known as cell death. Sometimes the cell does not commit apoptosis and continues to replicate with damaged DNA. This is not a good thing for your long term health. The good news is that Frankincense has been shown to cause cells with damaged DNA to go ahead and commit apoptosis. This makes Frankincense a powerful anti aging, rejuvenating essential oil.
Every night as I am crawling into bed I rub a few drops of Frankincense essential oil on the soles of my feet, which are very porous. The essential oil reaches every cell in the body in a matter of minutes. Keep in mind that the body goes into repair and restore mode while you sleep, so this is the perfect time to support this process with essential oils.
Burns and Sunburns
Lavender essential oil is a staple in my kitchen and bathroom. For burns, Lavendar essential oil immediately stops the death of skin cells the moment it is applied. For sunburns I take a teaspoon of coconut oil and add 2 – 3 drops each of lavender and peppermint essential oils and apply.
For anxiety and Overwhelm
I carry Lavender Essential Oil in my purse at all times for those moments I may feel uptight, anxious or overwhelmed. I breathe it directly from the bottle or place a drop or two in the palm of my hands, rub them together and cup my mouth and nose and take 10 deep breaths. I also like to put 10 drops in my bath at night for a totally relaxing experience.

One very important piece of information in regards to essential oils.
Not all essential oils are created equal.
If an essential oil has just one drop of essential oil and the rest of the bottle is filled with synthetic oils, the product can still be labeled as a “natural essential oil”.
As a health care practitioner I had to make sure that the essential oils I recommend to my clients are pure, safe and beneficial. That is why I chose the brand that has the highest level of testing that ensures that the essential oils are not only organic, they are verified pure, free of fillers, pesticides and foreign contaminants.
