This is definitely my kind of cosmetic procedure.
It’s relaxing, virtually painless, and much safer than surgery and injections. Best of all it is the only anti-aging procedure that will improve your overall health.
Years ago when I worked on a short lived show called “Your Mind and Body” I produced a segment on Acupuncture, so I knew all about the health benefits.
- More energy
- More restful sleep
- Improved digestion
- Better mental capacity
- Better blood circulation
- Boosts immune system
- Pain relief
Recently I discovered acupuncture has become a beauty secret of the rich and famous, and I want to make sure you know about it too.
In the last couple of years Cosmetic Acupuncture has gained popularity on the east and west coast. This specific treatment promotes the circulation of energy and blood in the face, and collagen production for increased muscle tone and elasticity.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, a person’s face is selectively affected by his or her internal organs, and as internal organs are fortified, one’s face reflects the improvement.
Radiance and vitality is restored by facial and body needling along the meridians that improve those organs.
I am currently having cosmetic acupuncture treatments that lift the face and tone my waist line. My acupuncturist places needles in my scalp and forehead for the facelift.
For the waistline she places needles all over my stomach and then hooks them up to an electrical current. I then lay there with this buzzing sensation for 20 minutes.
I know it sounds strange, but it is quite relaxing.
After the needles are removed, the acupuncturist does an acupressure massage to further stimulate the body.
Some of the visible results can include:
- Reduction of deep wrinkles and fine lines
- Improved muscle tone and a firmer jaw line
- Clearing or elimination of rosacea and acne
- Overall rejuvenation that is not confined to your face
For me the biggest thing I have noticed so far is an overwhelming feeling of wellness and a healthier look.
For best results you will need to go once or twice a week for 4 – 12 weeks.
If you live in the Los Angeles area, I highly recommend
The ML Royal Medical Center

Encino, CA 91436
Meiling grew up in China and apprenticed under her acupuncturist father her entire life. She is fully licensed, and has been practicing in Los Angeles for 17 years.
She only charges $50 a session.
I am personally going once a week. I look at it as doing something special for myself that will not only help me age less, but boost my overall health.
